This is a true account of incredible highs and inconceivable lows, heart-warming discoveries and heart breaking tragedies. Starting in 1963, it was a journey that lasted for over forty years and quite literally meant travelling to the other side of the world. I always think autobiography is more engaging if it has a message to impart. `Searching for Simon' has several; all delivered with an honesty and self-awareness that is both endearing and compelling. Although the writing is sometimes naive the story is one that should be heard.
