Songwriters Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen were the ‘go to’ writing partnership for Sinatra over a number of years. This collection includes Sinatra hits including ‘Love And Marriage’, ‘High Hopes’, and ‘All The Way’ as well as some of his signature songs like ‘Come Fly With Me’ and ‘It’s Nice To Go Trav’ling’. Also included are rarer songs, ‘Our Town’ and ‘They Came To Cordura’ as well as two songs on which he duetted with Keely Smith – rarest of all is ‘We Are Glad We’re Italian’ on which Sinatra is joined by Dean Martin and was released on an incredibly rare charity LP in 1959. The CD contains 25 classic Sinatra performances and songs written by Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen who were pivotal in the singer’s success in the 50s and early 60s. The package includes a six-page booklet with short biographies of Sinatra, Cahn and Van Heusen, full credits and other memorabilia.
