With 200 images, this work provides a record of the final years of steam on the Western Region of British Railways. The content ranges from the classic 4-6-0 designs of Churchward, Collett and Hawksworth on the main lines to South Wales, the West Country and the West Midlands, to tank engines at work in the South Wales coalfield.
