This catalogue has been edited for the exhibition 'The Art of Power: Armours and Portraits of Imperial Spain' that is being held at the Washington National Gallery of Art. Organised by SEACEX, the Patrimonio Nacional and the Washington Natonal Gallery, the exhibit displays a splendid collection of armour and paintings from the collection of the Royal Palace in Madrid dating from the discovery of America to the Independence of the United Sates.
