Iconography considers a major period in Riera I Arag 's long career and considers the principal motifs--planes, submarines, stelae, the Aral Sea, islands--that form the alphabet of his artistic idiom. In an oeuvre where reality and fiction blur together, astronomy, botany, mathematics and mysticism all come into play.
