Mundo 21 offers a content-based approach to the intermediate-level course, broadening students' understanding of the Spanish-speaking world by covering its diverse culture, history, and authentic literature. This text is designed to encourage communication, learning in context, process writing, literary analysis, critical thinking, as well as pair and group work. Mundo 21 may also be used as the primary text in a third-year culture and civilization course. Mundo 21 features activities that motivate students to develop greater cultural competency and proficiency in all four language skills.To aid acquisition, new and recycled grammar points have been carefully woven into each lesson's content and writing activities.
