Dropletta meets Droplet when he is on a quest to completely encircle the earth within one recycling phase. Accompanying them on Droplet's endeavor is a gaggle of misfit raindrops, a wise Weary Drop and Noah Drop, who is a general in the undeclared war against Red Hot Heats. The Heats are led by the Supreme Overlord, Oozta, who has an undeclared fear of Drops. The Supreme Overlord wishes to destroy the Drops and has a special hatred for Noah Drop. Oozta comes up with a plan to capture Noah. His slavish Minister of Advice, Yeagi, bungles the plan and returns to the Kingdom of Red Hot Heats with only Droplet and Weary Drop as captives. Dropletta and Noah form a rescue group of Drops to invade the enemy kingdom and free the prisoners.
