His contribution to the furtherance of Jamaican music as producer, arranger, writer and artist is beyond compare. He played a pivotal role in, and was the inspiration behind, many of the key movements in the development of reggae throughout the Sixties and Seventies.

Lee “Scratch” Perry was a Jamaican music producer, singer, and songwriter who played a significant role in the development of reggae and dub music. He is often referred to as the “Upsetter” due to his production label Upsetter Records. Perry was a highly influential figure in the music industry, known for his innovative production techniques.
