This introduction to river forms and processes has been revised and updated. David Knighton has restructured the book in parts to make it more "student friendly" and to ensure a greater evenness of depth of treatment (particularly with regard to fluvial processes). A final chapter has been added on applied geomorphology, now a component of fluvial geomorphology courses. Additional case studies have been included from around the world.
