Presented are innovative teaching and learning techniques for the teaching of knowledge-based paradigms. The main knowledge-based intelligent paradigms are expert systems, artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computing. Expert systems are designed to mimic the performance of biological systems.
