Aimed at the general reader, they combined a comprehensive approach to various aspects of physical and human geography with an emphasis on clarity. This guide to Devonshire by Francis A. Knight and Louie M. (Knight) Dutton was first published in 1910. The text is interspersed with numerous illustrative figures and also contains a list of the chief towns and villages within the county.
