Derya Yıldırım, the vocalist and bağlama player, was born in Germany to Turkish parents. The band's diverse international makeup further enriches their unique sound: drummer Helen Wells hails from South Africa (now based in Berlin), while keyboard player Graham Mushnik and guitar/bass player Antonin Voyant are both French. Their collective influences converge on Anatolian music, resulting in a fresh and innovative sound that both honors the genre's heritage and propels it forward.
