Doing Shakespeare! seeks to answer the question: How does one effectively integrate Shakespeare-based curricula in an elementary classroom? Qualitative research methods were utilized, including interviews with students, teachers, and theater professionals as well as observations of Shakespeare-based drama workshops and rehearsals of student productions. Through analysis of the data, recurring themes were identified and synthesized into a list of guidelines describing effective strategies for implementing Shakespeare-based curricula in the elementary classroom.
