This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the IFIP/ACM Working Conference on Component Deployment, CD 2002, held in Berlin, Germany, in June 2002. The 13 revised full papers and 6 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 43 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on resource constraint systems, reconfiguration and evolution, success and challenges in component deployment, languages for adaptable components, and mechanisms for adaptation and connection.
