As a co-founder of the architecture firm gmp – von Gerkan, Marg und Partner, Meinhard von Gerkan has realized more than 200 projects, from the famous drive-to-your-gate airport Berlin-Tegel, to the Berlin main train station, and the Chinese National Museum in Beijing. Projects such as the bird observation tower on the Graswarder or Villa Guna in Riga in Latvia are less well-known, but not less impressive. In this volume, the architecture critic Jürgen Tietz presents 124 of von Gerkan’s projects, as an impressive showcase of the diversity and quality of his work.
