Glen Hansard has been a musician for many years, and in addition to his solo career, he is also a member of The Frames and Swell Season. He won an Oscar for the soundtrack to Once. Hansard continues to release low-key indie-folk music, and this is his fifth solo album. Here he manages to fuse Irish folk music with rock and with his razor-sharp yet empathetic lyrics.
