Il Volo’s new much-awaited album dedicated to Ennio Morricone (1928 – 2020), one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. 14 songs with some of the Maestro’s most famous and unforgettable melodies.

Il Volo have always felt closely connected to Ennio Morricone, also appearing on stage with him in 2011, at Piazza del Popolo in Rome. The album was recorded in the Forum Studios in Rome. Marcello Rota conducting the historic Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra, which – since it was established in 1994 – worked extensively with Morricone, performing under his musical direction at some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls.

Morricone’s son Andrea Morricone is a huge supporter of this project, providing lyrics for “The Ecstasy of Gold” and a previously unreleased track written by him (“I colori dell’amore”). The album features guest stars David Garrett, Hauser (from 2CELLOS) and Chris Botti.
